I made the dynamite logo in Photoshop based on this photo of classic Swiss dynamite. (You can see the original PS image at the bottom of this post.)
Dick Blick had this waxy red rice paper, which was great because the fibers warped the logo and made it look aged. Wrapped it around dowels cut down to the Swiss dimensions - these are 9" in length and 1" diameter. The clock faces I ripped out of broken alarm clocks I bought from Urban Ore (one of my favorite places on earth!) The suitcase is from eBay and came lined with flowery fabric so I blacked it out and roughed up the exterior with sandpaper.
